Buca Di Beppo

My mom came into town last week for Sophie's 4th birthday. On Wednesday night we celebrated at Buca Di Beppo's, an Italian restaurant where the food is served family-style. The restaurant is fun because while the hostess is taking you to your table, she takes everyone through the kitchen. There's one table in the kitchen, which I reserved. It was so much fun. The servers would stop by our table when they went to deliver a meal and would explain what each dish was. For desert they brought out 2 huge cupcakes for my birthday and Sophie's birthday, free of charge. In addition to the cupcakes we also had canolis for dessert (see middle photo). We had coupons too, and for all 5 of us to eat, it costs only $49 plus tip.
