Sleepover

Kylie had her first sleepover a few weeks ago. Her friend Mialani, age 5, spent the night and it was quite an experience. Mialani's mom gave Kylie, Mialani and Sophie gift bags filled with tatoos, makeup, stickers and chocolate.

All three girls were hyped up on the chocolate. The make-up ended up all over the bathroom counter (literally, as in, I had to scrub it off the counter), they stuck the stickers on the living room table. The only thing they didn't get into were the tattoos, which smartly I hid!

During the sleepover I learned that 4, 5 and 6 year olds only play with a certain toy for approximately 30 seconds, in which they get bored with it, leave it in the middle of the room and grab another toy which they play with for 30 seconds. After about 10 minutes the living room and bedrooms are trashed.

I learned that little girls like to change outfits. A lot.

I also learned that Mialani only likes the cheese part of the pizza. Doesn't like crust, just cheese.

I learned that Kylie missed me in the middle of the night and cried and woke Steve up, who layed on the floor next to her bed. In the morning he moved to the couch, where I found him covered up with Kylie's pink princess blanket and Sophie's turtle.

I learned that while Kylie may be ready for more sleepovers...her Mama isn't!
