Friday

Today was a rather uneventful day. As I wrote earlier, we checked out of the hotel around 9 a.m. Steve left for his parents' house in Tennessee. After the girls woke up from their nap I took them to tae kwon do. I didn't plan on cooking dinner tonight since Steve's not around so I took the girls to Pizza Hut. Lili and her parents joined us.

One cool thing happened today. After leaving the hotel I decided to go to my church's annual rummage sale. Last year I went and was disappointed. Our church is made up mostly of elderly people, so there were not a lot of children's clothing or toys. In fact, last year I left without buying anything...which rarely happens when I go to rummage/yard sales. So this year the girls and I go to the rummage sale. Like last year, there are not many children's items. Kylie did find a Cheetah Girls purse for ten cents. The line to purchase was rather long. As I was waiting in line I was next to a table with purses on them. I browsed through the purses and lo and behold I found two COACH purses! They are black leather and in excellent condition. The sign said that all purses are $1. I hurried up and snatched them up and paid only $2 for two Coach purses. Normally one Coach purse sells in the store for $300. I could not believe my good luck! I already have a black Coach purse similar to one of them, so I'm giving that one to my Mom.
