We replaced the carpet, ceiling and trim. We had the walls painted a color called "sand dune" which is much more relaxing. I think it turned out great.

TV Area of Basement - After
Here is an "after" photo of the tv area of the basement. I wish I had taken a "before" photo. When we bought the house this area had berber carpet that was coming apart, yellowish faux-finished walls (one wall had fleur-de-lis stamped on it) and an ugly ceiling.
We replaced the carpet, ceiling and trim. We had the walls painted a color called "sand dune" which is much more relaxing. I think it turned out great.
