Sophie's Big Girl Bed

Recently we decided Sophie needed a "real" bed. When we brought her home she was 11 months so we had her in a crib. When she was 2 years ago we switched her from the crib to a toddler bed, which used the crib mattress. She's now 4 and a half and we decided now was the time to get her a "big girl" bed.
We decided on a full size mattress, since that is the size Kylie has in her room. Then we chose the bedding. I wanted Sophie to have something that she could use for several years and not outgrow (no Elmo or Dora The Explorer). I found this comforter at Target and bought sheets in a bright pink. I think the colors look good with the paint color on Sophie's walls.
Originally we ordered a headboard and frame, but once the mattress set arrived and we saw how tall it was, we cancelled the headboard order. The mattress set on the floor allows Sophie to get up and off the bed with no problems. Later, when she's bigger, we'll order a headboard.
