Winter Wonderland

All day yesterday the weathermen were talking about a snowstorm that was coming. They said it would come Friday night. Friday night we had tae kwon do class and then the tae kwon do party. I am afraid of driving in snow and ice, so Steve drove....and there was no snow. I went to bed around midnight, still no snow.

I awoke around 4 and looked outside and the ground was covered in snow. Around 5 a.m. I heard a snow plow truck rumbling down our street. When the girls awoke they were ecstatic and eager to play in the snow. We spent about 45 minutes outside, building a snowman, 2 snow turtles (for Sophie), making snow angels and going down our hilly front yard on the sled.

At first Sophie was reluctant to go on the sled but she eventually warmed up to the idea and had a lot of fun. After playing in the snow we went inside for hot cocoa with tiny marshmellows.
