Last Saturday Steve and I took the girls to the cemetary to visit my Grandma Amy (my dad's mother). She passed away in June 2006 at the age of 94. She was an incredible woman, very independent. After my grandfather died in 2001 she lived by herself in a high-rise apartment. She always kept very busy even into her 90s. She read books to underpriviledged children at a local school, she took weekly swim aerobics and even still drove until she was almost 93. She got to meet Kylie and was crazy about her great-granddaughter. My grandmother had been a travel agent for many years and had travelled the world, and China was her favorite country to visit, so she was so happy when she heard we were adopting from there.
Sadly she passed away 9 months before we brought Sophie home, but I know that she would have loved Sophie as much as she did Kylie.
The girls did well at the cemetary, they brought pink and purple silk flowers and said hi to Grandma Amy.

Wow - she sounds like she was a truly amazing woman. I wish my grandparents could have met Nadia. None of them lived anywhere near as long as your Grandma Amy did. Nadia has just one Great Grandparent (Paul's dad's mom).
