We're still waiting for our realtor to find out about the "no-show" on Saturday.
We received official news from the bank that our loan has been approved and we're just waiting for the closing to be scheduled. Steve wants it to be at the end of January to buy us some more time selling our current home.
While waiting for the closing we've been doing a lot of comparison shopping and getting quotes for the work that needs to be done. Last night our painter dropped off his quote. We used him to paint the master bathroom of our current house and he does great work. His quote to paint our new house is very reasonable. He also dropped off two books of Sherwin Williams paint colors. My head is spinning after looking at all the colors. I'm still not sure what color to paint the girls' rooms. Kylie still wants blue, but I'm not crazy about the dark color she wants. Sophie will basically be ok with any color I choose. I'm thinking of a pale green for her room.
Last night we went to Lowes to check out lighting, bathroom vanities and ceramic tile. So many decisions! Right now it's very overwhelming.
Tonight the granite guy is meeting Steve at the new house to measure for the granite. We'll need to go to his facility in Kentucky to choose the slabs. I really want the granite to be installed before I pick out the paint color for the kitchen.
There are so many things that need to be done regarding the new house. I don't understand how people can "flip" homes as a hobby...it's too stressful for me with just our one house!
