Yesterday Sophie got sick at dinner. She threw up a little and I thought maybe she choked on a spaghetti noodle, but then she threw up a lot at lunch today so I suspect it's a stomach bug.
The granite guy gave us a quote for our kitchen counters and it's almost half the cost of Home Depot's! Plus, his quote includes a 18-gauge stainless steel sink. Tomorrow morning we go to his shop in Kentucky to pick out the slabs.
This morning the girls and I went to the new house. I unscrewed one of the kitchen counter doors so we could use it to pick out our granite. I also picked out a color for the living room. It's very similar to the color already on the walls. The one I picked is Sherwin Williams' "Restrained Gold." I'd love to keep the walls exactly the color they are now, but there are some nail and screw holes in the walls that need to be patched and painted over.
Steve talked to the carpet guy and we need to go out there to pick out the color. So much stuff to do to a house that is beautiful to begin with. I am antsy and just want to start on things, but we technically can't until the closing.

We are probably going to use Restrained Gold on the walls of the trey part of our bedroom ceiling. The rest of my bedroom walls are a really nice brown. We must have similar taste. Have fun picking out the granite! I can't wait to see your pictures.
