Snow!!! And Ice!

Yesterday we received 6" of snow. Many schools and businesses were closed. The closing on our new house was yesterday morning and I was hoping it would be postponed because I freak out driving in snow. It wasn't cancelled but luckily Steve drove all of us there. So, now we officially own TWO houses. It scares me a little. And I'm still ticked about those people who made the cruddy offer on our house, but nothing I can do about them.

Yesterday after the closing the girls and I went outside and played in the snow. We were only out there about 15 minutes because it was so cold and the girls' noses were running. We managed to build a tiny snowman (and a snow turtle for Sophie who loves turtles).

Last night and this morning we had freezing rain. Everything is icy. There are almost 5,000 people in the area without power. Luckily we still have power. The girls are both home today since school is closed. And we're going to skip tae kwon do tonight.
