My Dad's Surgery was a SUCCESS! ! ! ! ! ! !

Yesterday my father had his surgery to remove the tumors. His surgery started late (typical) and my stepmother called me around 6:30 last night to tell me that the surgery was completed but he was in recovery so she hadn't seen him. I called her early this morning and she reported that she saw him briefly late last night but he was tired so she went home to get some sleep.

So I was very surprised a few minutes ago when my phone rang and it was....my dad! He called me from his room. His voice sounded hoarse. He cannot have any food or liquid (except for the iv) for three days. He was very pleased with the surgeon and the hospital itself. He even talked to Big Sis and Little Sis on the phone.

I am so relieved that the surgery is over. He is in a lot of pain right now, but hopefully it will lessen each day.
