Better....

Today Little Sis is feeling a little better.

Sunday night her temperature spiked up again...this time to almost 106!!!! I took her to the pediatrician's yesterday morning. They agreed that there was a lot of ear wax in both her ears. Of course they didn't volunteer to remove it (lazy). So I asked them to. The nurse said, "Well, it won't make much of a difference." I told her it couldn't hurt, so I'd like her to remove the wax. She used her tool and removed A LOT of ear wax, about the total size of a pencil eraser!

The nurse said that Little Sis' right ear was red, but it could have been from her crying. She said she didn't think she had an ear infection, because usually an ear infection wouldn't cause such a high temperature. She thinks it's a virus. The nurse was not much help, and had the personality of a chair, but at least the ear wax is gone.

Last night, for the first time, Little Sis slept in my bed. I put a rail up so she wouldn't fall out. She slept all night. This morning she drank a few ounces of bottle, and for lunch ate a few bites of macaroni and cheese, so we're making progress.

I kept her home from daycare today but tomorrow I plan on taking her there, if she doesn't have a fever. Honestly, the house looks like a bomb exploded. Piles of clean laundry need to be folded, dishes washed, bathrooms cleaned. Plus....I just need a break. If I watch one more episode of Barney......
