Afterwards, since he was feeling ok, we all went to Chuck E. Cheese (it's just down the street from Olive Garden). The last time my dad had been there was almost 30 years ago, when I was little, and back then it was called Showbiz Pizza. My dad had a blast. He played ski ball, basketball, and had his photo taken in the photo booth with Big Sis. My dad was like his old self, before he had cancer. I was so relieved. You always picture your father to be invincible, indestructable, and then something like cancer strikes and your world is turned upside down.

Glad you had such a great evening with your dad!! I'll be praying for his surgery. My dad finds out in the next week or so whether or not he'll need radiation.
As you can tell by this comment, my Internet is up and running again (finally). It's good to see your dad looking so good and healthy. Can't imagine him not pulling through anything. He started lifting weights back in the 70's, has alwlays watched his weight, walked daily during his lunch hours when he was still working and, best of all, comes from good stock.
I'm glad you all had a good time at Chuck E. Cheese. it's a fun place.
