Miscellaneous Stuff

This is turning into a busy week already.

I forgot to mention previously that last Thursday I took Little Sis back to the doctor. You may remember that 3 weeks ago she had an ear infection and we gave her amoxicillan that that was that. Well, last week she had been very fussy, not sleeping and pulling on both ears.

Last Wednesday the doctor confirmed that she has another ear infection! Actually it was in the same ear as the last infection, so the doc thinks the amoxicillan didn't totally get rid of it. We got a different type of antibiotic. The infection is in her right ear. Her left ear had so much ear wax that the doctor couldn't even see behind it to determine if it was infected. She said excessive ear wax is common in Asians.

The other night Little Sis woke up at 3 a.m. She was burning up. Her temp was 103.1 I was freaking out. We gave her Motrin, water, a popsicle and put a damp cloth on her forehead.

Today Little Sis is doing much better. The fussiness is gone for the most part, and her smile is back, but for those few days she gave us quite a scare.

Tomorrow night is Tae Kwon Do practice and on Friday Big Sis will test for yellow belt. Her instructor said she'll be able to break a wood board with her foot. On Friday we are having Big Sis' friend Lee Lee come over to play. Lee Lee is from China too and was adopted around the same time as Big Sis. They go to the same church as us.

Also on Friday Hubby's parents will be visiting us all weekend from Tennessee. On Saturday Hubby's brother and 2 children will be coming out to the house too. There are four April birthday (mine, Little Sis, Hubby's brother and his son) so we'll all open gifts and celebrate.

I have more to write about, but I'm exhausted. Going to bed now.
