Busy Tuesday

I was in constant motion all day Tuesday. After dropping both girls at school, I went straight to Toys R Us to buy Big Sis a new bike...only to realize it was 8:30 and the store didn't open until 10. Since the store is not near us I wasted time by buying some groceries at the Meijer's next door. Once it was 10, I went to the toy store and bought the bike. I did good. The bike was originally $69.99 but was on sale for $20 off. Then I had a coupon for another $10 plus a $3 coupon that they sent us to celebrate Little Sis' birthday this month. I basically got the bike for $40 after sales tax. Not bad, especially since they gave me a free Barbie doll (see previous post) and a free Barbie-sized bike for the doll. Plus the bike came with a backpack and water bottle for Big Sis.

After Toys R Us I came home and mowed the yard. Our new lawnmower is not self-propelled...I could wring Daddy's neck about that! It was hard work, but I got the lawn mowed, then used the blower to clear the sidewalks and driveway. After that I took a shower, ate a quick lunch, then ran to Bigg's because we were out of milk. After Bigg's I went to the video store and rented Gone Baby Gone, then I went home and filled two sippy cups with apple juice to have in the car when I picked the girls up.

I picked the girls up from school, came home, made dinner. Then Daddy came home. He was taking Big Sis to a Cincinnati Reds baseball game that night at 7. Big Sis wore her new Reds outfit we bought her and she looked so cute! They left and Little Sis and I went back to Bigg's (I forgot that we needed bread). We went to their garden center outside and Little Sis loved all the colorful flowers. We stayed there almost an hour.

When we got home we played outside for a little bit, then I gave her a bath and put her down to bed at 9. Daddy and Big Sis returned around 9:30 as I was watching Hell's Kitchen. Big Sis loves that show, so she was excited to watch the remainder with me. She was a little tired so I didn't give her a bath.

Phew! What a busy day.
