Yesterday was a busy day. We had cabin fever from being snowed in the previous day, so yesterday we went bowling. This was the first time that Little Sis has been bowling. She loved it!! We put the bars down in the gutter so the girls essentially played "bumper bowling" meaning that there were no gutters for the balls to roll in to. Also, the bowling alley has a metal ramp that looks like a small slide. You take it to the beginning of the lane, and the girls used it to roll the ball down the lane. Big Sis ended up winning, with a final score of 120.
Later on Daddy took Big Sis sledding down the street. Our neighbors have a very steep hill in their backyard and there were about 10 kids of all ages sledding down it. One of the fathers lent Big Sis a round plastic sled. Big Sis was fearless and had an absolute blast going down the hill. I brought Little Sis to watch. A boy almost ran into her coming down the hill, prompting her to cry (see photo).
Today both girls had dentist appointments. This was the first dental visit for Little Sis. We had Big Sis go first so that Little Sis could watch and know what to expect. Big Sis has 20 teeth total, 10 on the bottom and 10 on the top. No cavities. Little Sis has 16 teeth total, 8 on the top and 8 on the bottom. The dentist said she'll get her remaining teeth in the next year. Little Sis did great with the dental hygienist, didn't cry at all, sat in the chair by herself and opened her mouth. But then when the actual dentist came in she screamed and cried (I think because he's a man and has a deeper voice?). The dentist said both of them have beautiful teeth.
After the dentist we went to the grocery store. I am attempting to make Chicken & Noodles tonight and needed to pick up the Reames frozen egg noodles and some spices. I really hope it turns out good. It's the type of recipe where when it's good, it's very good, but if it's bad, it's not edible (make sense?). If it's good I'll post the recipe later.
Daylight Savings Time started yesterday morning and it's kicking my butt. Little Sis woke up at 7:30 this morning, which is really 6:30. It seems too early this year to be setting the clock back, because of the snow and cold weather. I am so ready for Spring!
When Big Sis was a baby, we submitted photos of her to a modeling agency. She even auditioned for a Pampers ad, but at the time she was too young to really follow direction. Last night I emailed the agency director some recent photos. The following 2 photos (of her wearing black) are some that I emailed....
Big Sis & Daddy ready for sledding!
