Holding her Elmo

Our "red couch" photo. Look at how young Little Sis was, and how sad she seemed.

Big Sis riding Rusty the horse

Sorry I haven't posted for a few days. I don't have my digital camera yet, but I hope to have it early next week.
This morning we awoke to snow and freezing rain. The girls' school didn't open until 9 a.m., which worked out fine for us as we slept in 8:15. I dropped both girls off, came home, cleaned, made a loaf of potato-oatmeal bread, got a pedicure and then picked the girls up at 3:30.
I bought a huge 15-pound bag of potatoes at the store and am trying to think of ways to use them up. I gave a few pounds to our neighbor. I made mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, potato-oatmeal bread, and tonight I made potato romanoff. I've also been trying to use up a dozen eggs I bought, so I baked chocolate chip cookies and a key-lime pie. We already polished off the cookies so tomorrow I may make some more. The weather is supposed to be even worse tomorrow so if school is closed I won't make the cookies and we probably won't go to tae kwon do.
I am so excited to report that Little Sis is almost fully potty-trained! She's only 22 months and with Big Sis we didn't introduce the potty until she was over 2 years old. We have a potty in the living room, in the downstairs bathroom and the upstairs bathroom. Little Sis uses the potty 90% of the time. She'll say "potty" and start tugging on her pants. She even goes #2 on the potty. I know, too much information, but I am so proud of her! And she is proud of herself too...she claps for herself after using the potty. When I picked her up from school they said that she actually went in the potty.
Little Sis is also saying a ton of new words, like hungry, hot dog, turtle, elephant, spider, apple, ball, more, yes and yuck. Yesterday she started saying "Hi Daddy" over and over again. It was so cute.
Big Sis caused a commotion at church the other day. This was a church that we visited once in the fall and due to holidays and sickness, we slacked off and never went back. We decided to go again last Sunday. Big Sis picked out her outfit...her Dora ballerina dress, white tights and white dress shoes. During the service we sang hymns and Big Sis started dancing like a ballerina in the aisles. After the song ended Big Sis put one arm behind her back and slowly took a bow. It was hilarious. The church is comprised of mostly elderly people and they got such a kick out of watching Big Sis dance. We must have had at least 20 people approach us after the service and tell us what a good dancer she was. I wished I had my camcorder with me to record it.
Not much else new...just trying to stay warm, use up 15 pounds of potatoes and await my new camera. Since I don't have any new photos I'm posting some old photos of the girls.

Hope your camera comes very soon! I have some potatoes I need to use up also. They had a buy one bag get one free so I got 2 bags but really didn't need that many, LOL. Lsat week I used some for chicken stew and next week I was thinking of beef stew but I'll need to make some other things like you did to use them up. I gave dh a break from potatoes and made lasagna yesterday. :-)
I'm glad you think I look pg, but that's with my shirt lifted up or pulled taut. It still isn't obvious when my shirt is in its normal position. But hopefully soon! Thanks again for all your prayers for us to become parents. I can't believe it's finally coming true! I hope you're right that it's a girl (although of course I'll be thrilled with a boy also but girls are just SO much fun to buy clothes for and dress up!).
If the girls don't have school today they would probably enjoy making cookies with you! :-)
