H1N1

The ped's office said that Kylie has H1N1 and not the regular flu. I'm not sure how they can assess this, as they haven't actually examined her; I just told them her symptoms. They STILL do not have the regular flu vaccine which really ticks me off. They were supposed to have it in September, then October, and now it's been pushed back to end of November. Ridiculous! I mean, they always run out of it...why don't they start making the vaccine extra-early and in larger batches to avoid this?!

Kylie was feeling pretty good yesterday until around 11 p.m. when she started vomiting. She has a real fear of vomiting and kept screaming, "I'm so scared, I'm so so scared!" and "Take me to Urgent Care, take me to Urgent Care!" There's not much worse than watching your child in pain and not being able to do much about it.

She slept all night but in the morning her fever returned, so she stayed home again. We lounged in bed, watched tv, played Zingo about 1,000 times (it's her new favorite game), and I got her a chicken nugget happy meal and Sprite at the McD's drive-thru for lunch. I could tell she was sick because she's hardly eaten at all today.
