I'm back!

It's been a VERY long 9 days. Nine days ago was when the family illness started. It started with Kylie on Friday. By Saturday Sophie had a fever, runny nose, cough. Sunday I took her to Urgent Care when her fever exceeded 105. I went to work on Monday with a sore throat. By Monday night it turned into a fever, body aches, chills and a runny nose. Tuesday both girls and I were sick, so I didn't go to work. I also didn't go to work on Thursday since Sophie and I were still ill. It wasn't until yesterday (Saturday) that I felt better. We're all better now, with the exception of runny noses.

Earlier I wrote about how much I missed our old house, how I didn't feel like this place was home, how maybe we made a mistake buying this house. I was really depressed about it (and being sick certainly didn't help things). The good news is that now I really, really LOVE this house! We've met 3 sets of neighbors and they are all very nice. Our next door neighbors have a 5 year old daughter Julia who has played with Kylie the past three days. All the neighbors we met commented on how they were glad there were more children moving here.

There is still a lot of work that needs to be done here. The painter hasn't been here in over a week, as he's been sick too. I need to dust stuff off(drywall dust everywhere), organize the tubs in the basement, finish cleaning out the garage. There's so much to do, but with all of us being sick it hasn't gotten done.
