Tuesday

Last night was a productive night. After dinner we went to Home Depot and purchased all the appliances for the kitchen at our new house. We bought a refrigerator, cooktop, dishwasher, microwave with trim kit and oven. Even with the 10% off we still spent $5,000. All the appliances are stainless steel, and the microwave and oven are built-in, so that is why it cost more. They are going to deliver the appliances at the end of February, to give us time to replace the counters and paint.

The closing for the new house is scheduled for next Tuesday at 11 a.m. According to the realtor, there are now TWO back-up offers on the house, so hopefully there will be no mishaps before the closing.

I am getting anxious to close on the house. I've already contacted a locksmith to re-key the house, and contacted a door company to get clickers for the garage doors. Once we close I will start moving some of the stuff in our basement to the new house (stuff in tubs like Christmas decorations).

Our realtor called us today. She said that the one man who looked at our house on Sunday by himself wants his wife to look at our house. They want to look at it this weekend, but she's working so they may schedule something for the following weekend. We'll see.

The photos below were taken last night. Sophie's latest dvd obsession is "Barbie & The Diamond Castle." The two main characters, Alexa & Liana, play guitars and do a lot of singing. Sophie likes to pick up Kylie's guitar and start singing.
