WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!!!!!

Around 10 this morning we learned that the bank accepted our offer!!!

Although excited, a large part of me was terrified. What did we get ourselves into? Were we making a huge mistake? I started freaking out. Talking to my mom made me feel better, but I knew I needed to see the house again, and this time with a third party.

I called Lili's mom Lisa and all of us went out there today to get another look. As soon as I walked into the house I knew this was our house. I took photos and videotaped it. It is such a beautiful house (despite ugly paint colors) and we couldn't pass up the wonderful price. I found out that yesterday we looked at the house 30 minutes before they were going to post the house on the internet. I'm sure the house would be snatched up by someone else. A house like this doesn't sit vacant for long.

I took a ton of photos, so I'll put them in several posts to make it easier.

The photos below are the basement. The basement is almost 2300 sf. About half of it is finished, with a large fireplace, carpet and some hunter green tile (which Steve thinks is ugly, but I can live with it).

The first photo is taken on the main (first) floor, showing the stairs that lead down to the basement. I like the light fixture, though Steve doesn't. The walls are painted in a faux finish, as is most of the house.

The second photo shows the basement fireplace. Just beyond the green ceramic tile is a light brown berber carpet.

The third photo shows more of the tile area. It looks like they had a bar there, as it is plumbed for a sink.

The basement also has a half-bathroom, which I forgot to photograph.
