Black Friday

I normally stay at home on Black Friday. I don't care for the mass of shoppers, the frenzy and the crowded parking lot. Just not worth it. Today the girls and I did venture out to one store. I needed to return a pair of leggings at K-Mart, and it was on the way to the library so we went in. It wasn't too bad, actually. I ended up buying a set of flannel pajamas and a fleece robe for Sophie. Robes are hard to find in Sophie's size, so I snatched it up. Best of all- all the sleepwear was buy one, get one free, so for both I spent a total of $15.

Tonight the girls had chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes and pineapple chunks. Both girls wanted to use their plastic chopsticks to eat the nuggets and pineapple. They're not real chopsticks, they're connected to help kids learn how to use chopsticks. I am amazed at how well Sophie eats now. The first year we were home, she wouldn't each much at all. Her main staple back then were Pediasure bottles, raman noodles and green beans. Not very healthy, but at least she was eating a little. Now she is much better at trying new things, and has a good appetite.
