Power Restored

I talked to Steve and he said that the power finally came on around 3 in the morning Tuesday. We were without power from Sunday around 3 p.m. until Tuesday 3 a.m. That's a long time. I'm glad we came to my mom's house. The only alternative would be to stay in a hotel in Lawrenceburg (15 minutes from our house) but we were told that the hotels there were filling up quickly with others who were without power.

Today Nai Nai, the girls and I went into town and did some shopping. We met Papa Jim at his office and we all went to lunch at a restaurant. Sophie fell asleep in the van on the way back to Nai Nai's house. I got her out of her carseat as softly as possible, but she woke up and then refused to go back to sleep.

Tonight Nai Nai, Sophie and I are going to Walmart while Kylie goes fishing with Papa Jim. Nai Nai wants me to show her what toys Kylie wants at Walmart.

Dinner tonight will be hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill, corn, Nai Nai's potato salad (yummm!) and mac & cheese. I'm sure I've gained a few pounds since I've arrived here.

Tomorrow morning we leave to go back to Cincinnati. Kylie has an appointment with a modeling agency at 3:30 p.m. and it's on the other side of town. I hope to arrive in Cincinnati around noon. There is so much for me to do. I have to completely clean out the fridge and freezer, and need to go to the grocery store to fill them back up.
