Equation: 2 little girls + 2 recorders = 2 Tylenols!

Last night my dad came over and spent the night. He had a doctor's appointment yesterday and another one today so it made sense for him to sleep over and not have to travel the long distance back to his house.

Kylie and Sophie had so much fun with my dad. He had gained some weight luckily and was energetic and played with them the entire night. It was like how my father was before cancer. Tomorrow marks the 6 month anniversary of when he was diagnosed. He has done chemo, radiation and surgery. Today he started more chemo. He went into the doctor's office this morning and 9 a.m. and was there until 4 p.m! Needless to say he was exhausted by the time he left the doctor's office. The reason it took so long was because they gave him many different drugs in his i.v. They couldn't do them all at once, and they had to do them slowly or else it would make him dizzy and sick. One drug took 2 hours to administer! He is supposed to do this chemo for six more months, ugh. I hope he does better this time than his last time with chemo. He does not need to lose any more weight.

Last night was also Kylie's first night of soccer practice. She did great. It was close to 90 degrees and practice lasted an hour and she didn't complain once. My dad enjoyed watching her practice too. For dinner we pigged out at Pizza Hut.

Today both girls were in school. I spent almost the whole day running errands. I went to Sam's Club to return an item, then Dollar Tree. I love Dollar Tree. Every thing is $1. They have a great toy selection. I bought the girls recorders (horns) to play. They were 2 for $1. I also bought them some glow necklaces. I had bought some glow necklaces at Big Lots around 4th of July and the girls put them on the other day and loved them. I bought close to 10 packs at Dollar Tree. I paid double the price at Big Lots.

After Dollar Tree I went all over searching for Kung Fu Panda birthday invitations. No luck. Only two places had them and they had sold out and weren't planning on getting any more in. I did find some on the internet that I will buy. The cost of shipping is still less than what I'd pay in gas driving all over town again.

Kylie had tae kwon do tonight. I am so impressed with how she acts. There were three other children in the class today and all of them were acting up except Kylie. Kylie said "yes, ma'am" to all of her teacher's requests and never goofed off. Her teacher gave her two prizes because of the way she acted.

Chemo treatments are an all-day affair for my mil also. I hope this round goes better for your dad.
