Well, we had an interesting night last night. Let me backtrack. Yesterday afternoon around 4-ish, when I was getting Kylie ready for tae kwon do, I noticed that she felt unusually warm. I took her temperature and it was 101.9. I gave her some Children's Motrin and she was fine. After tae kwon do we had dinner, played, had a bath and then went to bed. She woke up at 2:30 in the morning, burning up. I held my hand a few inches from her body and I could feel the heat coming off her. I took her temperature and it was 103.6! I asked her if she felt sick and she said her head hurt. I gave her more Motrin, some water and a popsicle. We were up until 5:30 a.m. Kylie rarely gets sick, in fact the last time she got sick was September 5th of last year (I remember this because it was my last day at work).
Today her temperature is lower, but it's still around 101. She is acting normal, eating normal, etc, so I'm not too worried, but it's weird how her temperature got so high without any warning. Sophie is fine and not affected. Hopefully she won't get sick too.
I took several photos today. The first one is of Kylie cooking dinner. We had vegetarian fajitas. Kylie wanted to do all of the cooking and wouldn't let me near the pan. She was very proud of her dinner.
Photos 3-5 are of Kylie and her friends Angus & Vincent (brothers) running through our sprinkler. Please ignore the ugly yellow lawn. Just a monthor so ago we had beautiful green grass, but it's been a very dry summer and everyone's yard looks like hell. We've watered and watered but it's a lost cause for now.
