Belly Dancing

Last night I took Kylie to a belly dancing performance at the library. It is a group called Habeebas. Actually it's a school that teaches middle eastern dancing. There were three women performing. Kylie loved their dresses and jewelry. We sat in the front row and Kylie was bobbing her head in time to the music.

One of the performances involved dancing with swords. The women danced while balancing swords on their heads...it was amazing!

One funny, yet embarassing moment....all three women had bellies. One lady in particular was a little heavy in the belly area. Kylie said to me, "Mama, I think that lady has a baby in her tummy!" I tried not to crack a smile. The lady was in her late fifties. I explained to Kylie that not all women with big tummies have babies inside :)

After the performance, they invited the audience to come up and dance with them. At first Kylie declined but after a few minutes she joined in.

You do a great job keeping up on your pictures and posts up to date. I do not take enough pictures. Have fun at the museum and zoo. Your zoo is much bigger, but I like ours because you can see it in one day. Bring your girls swim suits, because there is a water feature to play in. THe Curious George exhibit is terrific! I hope it is still there until the end of the summer. Both of your girls will enjoy it. We have a problem keeping both of my children entertained.
