Sorry

Sorry for the lack of posts. The past two weeks have been busy. First the in-laws came for a couple days, then my mom came Sunday and left yesterday. It was my birthday on Monday so my mom and Big Sis made me a birthday cake. Big Sis had so much fun licking the beaters, frosting the cake and putting sprinkles on top. I took a long nap while they were doing this. When I awoke the table was decorated with balloons and Big Sis made placemats (done by coloring on computer paper, very cute). My birthday dinner consisted of rotisserie chicken, potato romanoff, corn on the cob and of course the cake. Very good!

This year Steve got me the best present he's ever given me...two dvd players. The dvd player in our living room is almost 7 years old. It's a Sony, weighs a ton and probably cost $300 back in the day. For the past year it will periodically not play discs and a message will pop up on the screen stating that the dvd is dirty, even when it isn't. This past month it's been doing it constantly, and usually when we're halfway through a film. I've complained about it many times.

Also, the dvd player in our bedroom died. Unfortunately it died while there was a dvd still in it, so I had to pry it open to get the dvd out. That dvd player was only $40 from Sam's Club, so no big deal, however it was only 2 years old. Electronical devices just aren't made as well as they used to, at least that's what it seems around our house.

So...I was very excited to get the new dvd players.

Mom left yesterday morning and we already miss her, especially Big Sis. She's coming back in mid-May when we have the MOAGS (Mother Of All Garage Sales). I have a ton of stuff to sell, mostly baby clothes, the crib/mattress and toys. Right now it's taking up a good quarter of our large basement. I can't wait to get rid of this stuff.
